Bio

Gavin Lee is a professional videographer and creative who started his career in the wedding industry, He then went onto short form content and commercials where he really found his passion. You can now find Gavin working between Wales and London working on exciting projects for a multitude of big name brands. Gavin is well sought after in the industry for his vast knowledge of cutting edge innovative camera and drone techniques and knowledge.

What is your favourite Rotolight product? 

This is such a hard question! I can’t decide between the Titan X1 and Neo3.

What advice do you have for people getting into videography?

Ensure you’re passion led, Then surround yourself with people who set your creativity on fire.

Your favorite project you’ve worked on?

All of my shoots are designed around the people or product as my starting point, We had an amazing alternative couple who opted for a halloween styled engagement video. I researched vigorously appropriate locations knowing this was the foundation in making the masterpiece, We settled on an incredible abandoned mental asylum, There happened to be an old vintage car on site, With the owner inquisitive to what we’re doing, Next thing we knew he provided keys and we had an insane prop to use in the video. The theme for the video was dark and ominous and the results spoke for themselves. The couple felt we’d really outdone the vision they had hoped for.

How is Rotolight different from other lights you’ve used?

Rotolight has absolutely changed the way I shoot, To have something as tiny as the Neo3 deliver such mighty results. Shooting run and gun or even  a full production scenario. There isn’t anything Rotolight cannot do.

What does lighting mean to you in your work? 

Absolutely everything. Without light there is no content.
