What does photography mean to you?
It means creating moments, not just capturing them – and then freezing them and immortalising them. It’s always important to make a picture speak by itself; it’s about how to create some soul, feeling the situation and creating something out of it.
How do you use Rotolight in your workshops?
We’re teaching a lot of workshops, and a lot of it is making people understand about the value behind a picture. We’re trying to do more and more intense classes in our NOIRstudio as well that are more intimate with fewer people. A lot of people come in not understanding the advantages of continuous light, so it’s important for us to be able to teach them that.
How does Rotolight fit into your shooting style?
My photography is really focused on colour, so being able to change the colour temperature really helps me to adapt depending on the time of day or mood and mix it with the ambient light available. I even use the AEOS and NEO 2 to support my work with natural light because it lets me get the last kick in the eyes bringing the image to life.
